Manta sightings remain strong even after the typhoon! Kerama and Chibishi Islands

It was a bit windy today… but since we’d heard the manta sightings had been good recently,

we headed out on a manta-focused drift dive in the Kerama Islands!

Air temp: 28°C, Water temp: 27°C, Visibility: 10–20 m

① Shimosone, ② Shimosone, ③ Uchizan Reef

Too bad we didn’t see the giant manta at Shimo-Sone…

But at Uchizan Reef, the southern manta rays were gracefully gliding through the water.

This year, we’ve really been saved by Uchizan Reef and the Kuroshima Line.

The other team went on a leisurely introductory dive with two guests from Switzerland!

Air temp: 28°C Water temp: 27°C Visibility: 10–20 m

They’re both really good.

Even when water tried to seep into their masks from below because of their beards, or when they lost their balance underwater, as soon as I signaled, “Are you okay?” they’d give me the thumbs-up and say, “I’m fine!”

Hmm, Europeans really do have strong mental resilience…

The waves were high, but it was great that we got to see sharks and turtles!

Please enjoy the rest of your stay in Japan!!
