How Whale Swim Works

  • 1

    Search & Assess

First, we search for whales and carefully observe their behavior, weather, and sea conditions.
Swimming is only considered when conditions are safe and suitable.

  • 2

    Quiet Entry

If conditions allow, guests quietly enter the water following the guide's instructions.
Observations are conducted by snorkeling only.
Please remain behind your guide and enter the water calmly.

  • 3

    Respect the Whales

Observe whales quietly from the surface.
Never chase or approach the whales.
Allow the whales to decide the encounter.

Before You Book

  • Wild Animals

Humpback whales are completely wild animals.

Whale sightings and water entry are not guaranteed. No refunds are provided if whales are not encountered or if water entry is not possible due to sea conditions, whale behavior, or the captain's decision.

  • Entry Conditions

Water entry depends on whale behavior, sea conditions, and the captain's decision.

If conditions are unsuitable, the tour may become whale watching only.

  • Certified Divers Only

    Certified divers only.

Whale encounters are conducted by snorkeling.

  • Open Ocean Experience

Participants should be comfortable swimming in open-water conditions.

Equipment Information

  • Guests are welcome to bring their own snorkeling equipment.
  • Long freediving fins are not permitted. They are unnecessary for this surface-based tour and make safe boat entry and exit more difficult.
  • Please use standard snorkeling or scuba diving fins.
