The north wind just won’t let up here in Okinawa, so it feels like it’s suddenly gotten much cooler.
It’s already the time of year when you need to throw on a light jacket over your T-shirt in the morning.
Well, once this wind dies down, it’ll probably get warm again, though…
So today, I headed out to the “Gambling Point” Triangle.
Air Temperature: 30°C Water Temperature: 28°C Visibility: 20–30 m
① Triangle ② Triangle ③ GT4
Unlike during the Taman Festival season, Triangle is a bit of a gamble at this time of year.
That said, the visibility is outstanding.
The first dive ended with a school of surgeonfish and a giant trevally, which got my heart racing…
On the second dive, the whole group had a solid encounter with a school of barracuda.
Since the visibility wasn’t great, we moved to GT4 for the third dive and played with the giant trevally.
Diving in the wild style, drifting through the midwater layer amidst exceptional visibility, is something unique to this time of year.
