Until yesterday, I gave it my all for three days working on a charter trip with a group of college students.
Even the students who had only four dives under their belts on the first day made remarkable progress over the three days and were ready to try diving at Shimozone.
However, I do have one regret: although I was able to show them manta rays while snorkeling, unfortunately, we didn’t see any during the dives…
We parted ways saying, “Let’s see them next time!” and here we are today.
Air Temp: 31°C, Water Temp: 28°C, Visibility: 20–30 m
① North Kuroshima, ② Uchizan Reef, ③ Shimosone
There’s a manta ray over there, just leisurely getting cleaned—it’s almost too good to be true…
It couldn’t care less about our schedules or considerations—it’s refreshingly indifferent.
That’s nature for you.
Man… Manta… please just keep taking it easy like this through Silver Week.
So, while it would’ve been perfect if we’d spotted a giant manta at Shimozone,
between the abundance of fish and the dynamic underwater terrain, everyone really got to enjoy the Kerama Islands’ ocean to the fullest!
Tomorrow, we’re doing a try-dive at the Chibishi Islands!
