With a weather map like this, there are all sorts of possibilities. — Chibishi

Hello, everyone.

Today, we had planned for Kerama fun diving and—for those arriving later—Chibishi fun diving.

...

That was the plan.

But...

Just as I woke up and was getting ready to head out...

I received a LINE message: "All trips cancelled today."

...

"Cancelled today."

Huh?

For about five seconds...

Did I fail to understand the Japanese?

Did my brain refuse to process it?

Was I still groggy from sleep?

It was a "Huh? What is this?" kind of moment. (Haha)

Well, the weather map shows a pretty unusual situation, so things like this happen.

It’s circling right around Okinawa.

We’ve been completely hemmed in...

Did I do something wrong!?

Since the afternoon boats were still scheduled to run, we weighed our options and switched the plan to an afternoon trip to Chibishi instead.

Working with nature means dealing with these kinds of situations, but thank you all for your understanding and cooperation.

Afternoon dive at North Kuefu

Air temp: 30°C | Water temp: 28°C | Visibility: 15m

Coral colonies and schools of damselfish

It’s a joy to have such great diving conditions!

Tomorrow: Kerama drift diving

That trip is scheduled to go ahead.

The other team is doing a half-day trip to Chibishi

That one is still up in the air...

Well, we'll see how it turns out.
