The weather forecast was poor today, so we changed our plans from the Tonaki expedition to the Kerama Islands.

We all went to the Kerama Islands together with the Open Water (OW) course students!

Air temperature: 31°C, Water temperature: 27–28°C, Visibility: 20 m

① North Kuroshima, ② Nozaki, ③ North Kuefu

Once we passed the shadow of the island, we were brought back to reality… but the dive sites in the island’s shadow were still peaceful.

At Kuroshima North, we swam through caves and saw tiny creatures—like pygmy seahorses and rock crabs—that my GoPro just couldn’t capture.

At Nozaki, we saw colonies of branching coral, and we were hoping to end with a manta ray… but the waves were too high.

So, to play it safe, we headed to Kuefu North, where we were soothed by the coral and green sea turtles.

Our Open Water students were successfully certified! Now all that’s left is to gain some experience!
