Hello everyone!

Today marked the first day of the diving course.

Dives 1 & 2: Naha Seaside Park

Since the student lives here in Okinawa, we met up on-site for an open-air briefing.

After successfully completing the written test...

...and covering the basics—like how to use and set up the gear...

...it was time to head into the water!

Lately, there have been massive schools of mijun (gold-stripe sardine)—it’s quite a sight to see and really fun!

The student mastered the required skills smoothly, so tomorrow we’re off to the Kerama Islands for the certification dive!

We also have a "discovery dive" (introductory dive) scheduled for tomorrow morning at Chibisi.
