It’s already mid-August, so students are probably starting to worry about their summer vacation homework.

Meanwhile, the adults who have already graduated are currently enjoying the summer to the fullest.

Today, we split up and headed to Kerama—where manta rays are appearing at a record-high rate this year—

and to Manza.

First up: Kerama

The festival was in full swing again this morning.

Right from the first dive, a total of eight manta rays were putting on a feeding spectacle.

Visibility was outstanding. The schools of gurgon fish were beautiful, too. And there were eight manta rays circling around.

Everyone was happy after fully enjoying the manta rays on both dives.

What a wonderful day it was.

We finished up with a drift dive at Kuroshima North, where we saw hawksbill turtles and whitetip sharks… but the manta rays were definitely the stars of the show.

Here, we enjoyed dives with a different style for each run—from terrain to small creatures to wide-angle views.

When the weather’s nice, the terrain sites really stand out!

Manza is also highly recommended in the summer!
