The Kerama Islands are currently hosting the largest and longest-lasting gathering of manta rays in recent years.

Riding the wave of this “manta fever,” we headed to the Kerama Islands today for a try-dive!

And we went on a fun dive as well.

Air temperature: 32°C, Water temperature: 27–28°C, Visibility: 20–30 m

First off, since manta rays feed on plankton near the surface, they’re easy to spot.

If you dive there, you have a very high chance of seeing them. In fact, snorkelers reportedly see them almost 100% of the time.

That means you can even see manta rays on a try-dive.

Then, at the next spot, we dived up close with sea turtles.

It’s great to hear that everyone enjoyed the introductory dive, taking their time to watch the manta rays and sea turtles!

At Jitsuru, we enjoyed the coral reefs.

I really hope this “manta fever” continues forever.

So, we’re heading back to Kerama tomorrow!
