The long closure due to the typhoon has finally ended, and we’re resuming diving today.

A five-day closure during the Obon season is quite a blow, but at least let’s hope the underwater conditions are good…

Perhaps our wishes were answered—while conditions aren’t quite what they were before the closure, the visibility and water temperature aren’t as bad as they were after the last typhoon!

There’s still a bit of swell, but we took it easy, swimming alongside green sea turtles.

We played around in the caves.

We also quietly observed a sleeping whitetip shark.

Popular small creatures like the spotted frogfish and dancing goby were also out in full force.

And as for the manta ray news everyone’s been wondering about—apparently, one was spotted off Kuroshima this morning.

It would be great if they stick around even after the typhoon passes!
