Although the waves are gradually picking up, the sea is still perfectly calm.

Today, we’re heading to Kerama for a fun dive, and the first day of the Open Water course is kicking off.

First up: the Kerama fun dive

Based on the schedule for the Manta Festival—which has been drawing crowds day after day—we headed to the coral area first!

Our plan was to see the turtles and then head to the Manta Festival at the end.

We completed the first two dives without a hitch, and then headed to the Manta Festival venue, but...

The festival had already ended. This wasn’t the time to be hanging out with the turtles... What a shame.

Well, these things happen.

Meanwhile, it’s the first day of the Open Water (OW) course!

First, we’ll deepen our knowledge with classroom instruction.

Once again, we have two very talented students.

But what really matters is the practical training—

or so I thought, but their practical skills were excellent too.

Tomorrow will be our last dive before the typhoon hits.

Due to this typhoon, all dives will be canceled from August 6th to 9th.

After that, it will depend on the typhoon’s path and speed.
