Amazing Coral Reefs & Underwater Cave Diving in Okinawa | Chibishi Islands

Conditions continue to be perfect.

It’s been 14 years since I came to Okinawa, but I can count on one hand the number of days when everything has come together at this level.

I can’t help but feel that these ideal conditions are a prelude to the typhoon expected to hit in a few days…

According to current forecasts, there’s a high probability of flight cancellations from August 6 to 8.

Guests with reservations in the area should please check their flight schedules as well.

Today, we headed out to the Chibishi Islands both in the morning and afternoon!

Air Temperature: 34°C, Water Temperature: 28–29°C, Visibility: 30 m

AM: ① Kuefu North, ② Kamiyama Labyrinth

When you think of Kuefu North, you think of coral colonies.

It’s one of the most relaxing spots in all of Okinawa.

Light streamed through the crystal-clear water, making it feel like we were swimming inside an aquarium.

For our second dive, we headed to the underwater caves at Kamiyama Labyrinth.

And we continued at Kamiyama in the afternoon too!

We swam alongside a sea turtle!

So, let’s make the most of it and dive while we still can!

We’re heading back to the Chibishi Islands tomorrow!
