Right in the middle of summer vacation, a family from France who came to Okinawa on vacation stopped by our shop today!

They dropped by our shop on a whim the other day and said they wanted to see turtles.

Sure thing! Even if we head out in the afternoon at a leisurely pace, we can easily spot the turtles and squeeze in two dives.

Let’s head out to that spot!

Air Temperature: 34°C, Water Temperature: 28–29°C, Visibility: 25–30 m

So, we headed to Kamiyama Island in the Chibishi Islands.

The visibility and water temperature were perfect! We were blessed with great conditions.

First, we got used to the water in the shallows, and then it was time to dive.

On the first dive, some people got anxious when water got into their masks.

Others had trouble equalizing their ears… but that’s just part of the process.

However, people tend to get used to things, so the second dive felt much more relaxed than the first.

And on that second dive, a sea turtle made an appearance, and everyone got to see it!

We were so lucky that the sea turtle was so considerate!
