July 26, 2017 – I could feel the spring tide. Kerama, Chibisi.

Hello everyone!

Today, we headed out for "fun dives" at Chibisi and the Kerama Islands.

First up: Chibisi fun dives.

Air temp: 31°C | Water temp: 26°C | Visibility: 20m

Dives 1 & 2: Kamiyama Labyrinth

Well, since these were fun dives, the conditions didn't cause any issues...

But had it been an introductory dive, the current would have made things quite difficult.

Next, we moved on to the Kerama fun dives.

Air temp: 31°C | Water temp: 26°C | Visibility: 15–25m

Dive 1: Rokuban-misaki | Dive 2: Nanaban-misaki | Dive 3: Kuroshima North

The turbidity left behind by the typhoon is gradually clearing up.

Of course, that also means the current is stronger... That's the spring tide for you.

The first two dives were calm and leisurely...

But for the final dive at Kuroshima North, we encountered a pretty strong current—something we haven't seen in a while!

It’s all part of the experience. Let's try out different types of dives and broaden our diving horizons!

Tomorrow, we’re heading to the USS Emmons—one of Okinawa's premier shipwreck sites—followed by more fun dives in the Keramas.
