The biggest typhoon of the season has passed over the main island of Okinawa.

We’re finally resuming diving today!

Our first dive after the typhoon is the Kerama Drift

as the swell is still quite strong, we’ll dive wherever conditions allow.

Air temperature: 31°C, Water temperature: 25–26°C, Visibility: 10–15m

On our first dive at North Kuroshima, we were hit by the aftermath of the massive typhoon, with reduced visibility.

This visibility… it really reminds me of my days in Izu.

Well, it’s not just about the wide-angle shots, though. There were plenty of small creatures too…

The ones with the swirling patterns… I think I’ve had enough of the swirl-type fish for now.

For the second dive, we headed to Gamble Point, a sandy drift site I’d never dived before.

I imagine it would have been exhilarating if the visibility had been good, but we couldn’t see the whole scene.

Last up was Tachuu! This was where there were the most fish.
