The weather is clear and sunny, the waves are calm, and surface conditions are excellent.

So, off we go on our Aguni expedition!

Well, the most important thing is the underwater conditions, but the water temperature has been gradually rising.

In the warmer spots, it’s reached 27°C.

However, the current on the first dive is a strong outgoing tide.

We picked everyone up at 4:30 a.m., so I’m sure your bodies aren’t quite warmed up yet…

But please give it your all right from the start…

Air temperature: 32°C, Water temperature: 26–27°C, Visibility: 25–30 m

But by the second dive, it had turned into a rising tide… After such a strong ebb, how could it flip completely in such a short time?

And by the third dive, there was almost no current at all.

I can’t help but feel like this kind of current is the kind where big fish show up.

Here are today’s highlights:

While drifting through the midwater layer, we came across a massive school of Dogtooth tuna!

As we got even closer… a hammerhead shark was swimming leisurely.

I managed to get up close to just two of them, but I think there might have been a few more...

I also managed to capture a Bigeye trevally tornado, and as expected of Aguni, we saw Napoleon wrasse, Buffalo fish, blackfin barracuda, and more.

Since we saw hammerheads after the manta rays yesterday, I really want to see the waterball pattern tomorrow.
