This year might be a particularly typhoon-prone one.

This is the second time this June that a typhoon is forecast to make a direct hit on Okinawa.

As a result, ferry service will be suspended tomorrow, the 25th, and on the 26th.

As of now, we plan to resume service on the 27th, but please note that this is subject to the typhoon’s path.

No matter how many times I go through this, having all my reservations canceled is really tough on my mental health...

However, nature constantly reminds us that there are things in this world we can work hard to overcome, and things we simply cannot control.

So I shifted my focus and headed to Kerama!

There were plenty of highlights, including whitetip reef sharks, Napoleon wrasses, and, even though the season had passed, giant cuttlefish.

The colorful fish—such as anthias and gold-striped anthias—swarming among the coral colonies left a lasting impression.

So, I’ll just have to hope that Typhoon No. 7 passes through peacefully.
