This is probably the hottest spot right now.

It’s June, but what on earth is going on in Okinawa this year?

I already miss the sound of cicadas—which used to be so loud last year it was almost annoying—and the air conditioners blasting full blast…

Today’s temperature is 24°C. It won’t be long before Okinawa becomes a summer retreat again, will it?

So today, I went on an expedition to Aguni Island!!

Air Temp: 24°C / Water Temp: 23–25°C / Visibility: 20m

Everyone has their own preferences, of course.

But at this time of year, Aguni Island is definitely the hottest spot.

This year, the schools of giant trevally are incredibly consistent!

Seeing this alone makes getting up early worth it, but there were also schools of bluefin trevally.

And if you raise the bar and aim higher, you can even catch glimpses of even bigger fish.

Aguni—an island where you can experience such a dream.

The only question is whether we can actually get there... that’s the biggest hurdle.

We’re planning another trip to Aguni tomorrow, but the forecast is iffy... let’s hope we can make it.

We’ll assess the conditions, and if it looks rough, we’ll change the dive site for safety reasons and go diving anyway!
