The weather here in Okinawa has been rather dreary these past few days.
I know the rainy season will be over soon, but it’s really dragging on…
Today, I headed out to the Chibishi Islands with a guest who had always wanted to Discover Scuba diving but never found the right time due to a busy schedule.
Since they finally had some free time recently, they signed up for a Discover Scuba dive.
You might think the Kerama Islands would be the obvious choice for a first-timer.
But they said they weren’t sure if diving was right for them, so they decided to try a half-day session first.
Yeah, I think that’s the right call!
Air Temp: 27°C Water Temp: 25°C Visibility: 20m
First, it’s all about getting used to breathing underwater.
So, while we were practicing at the surface, a green sea turtle slowly swam over to check us out.
Then, as they gradually got used to it, it was time to head underwater.
I could really see how much they’d improved over the course of the two dives!
If you had fun, we’d love to see you take the next step and get your certification!!
