Hello, everyone.
Sea conditions have been improving since yesterday.
Although there’s still a slight swell, compared to earlier, it’s become so calm you could almost call it glassy.
So today, we’re doing Kermadec recreational diving and Kermadec drift diving.
First up is the Kermadec recreational dive.
Air temperature: 32°C, Water temperature: 28°C, Visibility: 20–25 m
① Nozaki ② Dragon Lady ③ Aligar South
At Nozaki, we saw schools of fish, with blue trevally darting right into them.
At Dragon Lady, there was a solitary reef sitting on a pure white sandy bottom, surrounded by schools of glassfish and golden trevally. We also spotted some cute-eyed jow fish
Finally, at Aligar South, we enjoyed a drift dive while taking in the shallow coral colonies.
And then it was all about the turtles
Hawksbill and green sea turtles
We wrapped up the dive with a whitetip shark resting on the sandy bottom
Next up: Kerama drift diving
It’s almost giant manta season!
So, we warmed up at Kuroshima West before heading to Shimozone.
The timing was good, right at the tide change.
However, this time…
What a shame…
Since we don’t get to see them every time, the joy of spotting one is all the greater, isn’t it!
Let’s keep aiming for them whenever we get the chance!
Tomorrow, we’re heading out to Tonaki and Manza!
