we have established ourselves as a diving company based in Naha.

Our motto is not simply to guide you through the ocean,
but to create lifelong memories for each and every
customer.

From those experiencing diving for the first time, to license
courses for those aiming for higher levels, and even
experienced divers seeking unknown thrills, our veteran
staff will provide meticulous and passionate support,
prioritizing safety above all else, in the rich waters of
Okinawa Island and the Kerama Islands.

Here is the profile of Jun Kojima, the representative of Okinawa Diving Service Sensuiya, who has honed his skills in diving cultures around the world.

🏅 Professional Journey

🌊From discovering diving to becoming a professional

Its origins are in Aka Island, Okinawa.

I obtained my Open Water (OW) scuba diving license on Aka Island in Okinawa.

After graduating from university, I went to Australia on a working holiday visa.

Instructor certification obtained in Australia

I obtained my scuba diving instructor certification in Australia.

This marks the official start of my professional career.

🦈Six years of guide training, traveling through Thailand, the Maldives, and Izu.

For the next six years, I honed my guiding skills in world-class ocean areas, moving my base of operations every six months.

First three years : Thailand x Izu

For six months, I was stationed on a Similan Islands cruise in Thailand, and for the remaining six months, I worked as a scuba diving guide in Izu, Japan (Kumomi and Mikomoto).

Second three years : Maldives x Izu

For the next three years, I gained experience on dive cruises in the Maldives for six months, and for the remaining six months, I continued to dive in the rough seas of Izu (Mikomoto).

🌺Return to Okinawa Main Island and the establishment of "Diving Shop"

Work at a training specialist shop

After completing six years of demanding scuba diving guiding work, I moved to Okinawa Main Island.

For the next two years, I worked at a scuba diving training specialist shop, honing my teaching skills.

I then became independent and opened "Sensuiya"

After that, I became independent and established "Okinawa Diving Service Sensuiya." Sixteen years have passed since then, and I am where I am today.

💬 A message to everyone

I've been a diving instructor for over 20 years and have completed over 10,000 dives.

Okinawa Diving Service Sensuiya has also been in business for over 10 years, and I hope to utilize all of my experience to introduce you to the wonderful ocean of Okinawa.

🏅 Professional Journey

🌊From my encounter with diving to the world

1995

My origins are in Miyagi Prefecture.

While in high school, I obtained my Open Water (OW) license in my hometown of Miyagi Prefecture.

From there, I became captivated by the allure of scuba diving, and after graduating from university, I went to Australia to fully immerse myself in the world of the ocean.

2003

Instructor Certification Acquired (Cairns, Australia)

I obtained my instructor certification at "Deep Sea Divers Den," a long-established shop in Cairns.

At this shop, which boasted the world's largest number of certified instructors at the time, I thoroughly learned the know-how of high-quality instruction and gained solid professional experience.

🦈From the Similan Islands in Thailand to the raging currents of Izu

2004

Acquiring Multifaceted Guiding Skills

To gain further guiding experience, I joined "Dive Asia" in Thailand.

I was stationed on the Similan Islands cruise, a dream for divers, and served as a tour leader for four seasons.

During the Similan Islands cruise's off-season from May to November, I returned to Japan. I joined "Shimoda Divers" and "Mikomoto Hammers," based in Izu, Shizuoka Prefecture, and dived extensively in Japanese waters.

Kumomi Area : I honed my skills in complex underwater topography diving, macro (small marine life) searching, and comprehensive instruction.

Mikomoto Area : I gained guiding experience in large marine life diving, wide-angle photography, and drift diving.

🌺Relocation to Okinawa and the birth of "The Diving Shop"

2012

Okinawa Diving Service "Sensuiya" Opens

As a culmination of my work both domestically and internationally, I moved to Okinawa with Jun Kojima and opened "Sensuiya".

I have over 10,000 dives under my belt. I’ve also been a diving instructor for over 20 years.
