May is already drawing to a close.
As expected, Aguni Island is the place to be this time of year! So, I headed out on an expedition to Aguni Island.
When you think of Aguni Island, you can’t help but think of the giant trevally tornadoes from May to July,
as well as the bluefin trevally river and all the fascinating sharks.
In pursuit of these big fish, we got up early while it was still dark and swam on, undeterred by the tides or the wind!
Air Temp: 30°C / Water Temp: 23–24°C / Visibility: 15–20m
①–③: Fuden-zaki
So, we saw the giant trevally tornado, the bigeye tuna river, hammerhead sharks, and more.
As expected, the sea around Aguni was truly magnificent.
Early wake-up ⇒ Can’t drink much the night before.
There are places you mustn’t go even when the current is against you ⇒ Swim; if the current is against you, swim three times as hard as you imagined.
While these things require sacrifice, people can’t gain anything without making some kind of sacrifice.
If you’d like to take on the challenge of an Aguni expedition, we’d love to have you.
Tomorrow, I’m heading to Kerama for a fun dive.
